Project Associate – Migration Health

About the Role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate – Migration Health to support the implementation of health, nutrition, and MHPSS‑related projects in Ethiopia. This role contributes to delivering quality health services through IOM’s Mobile Health and Nutrition teams and other emergency health activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and monitoring project activities.
- Compile, analyze, and present project data and information.
- Monitor budgets, verify funds, and update financial information.
- Act as focal point for administrative coordination with organizational units and external partners.
- Draft reports, correspondence, briefing notes, and documentation.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Liaise with local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and donors.
- Monitor implementing partners and report non‑compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: University degree in Medicine, Nursing, or Public Health from a recognized university.
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in clinical activities.
- Experience liaising with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, and other institutions.
- Experience working with migrants, refugees, IDPs, victims of trafficking, and vulnerable groups.
- Prior work experience in multicultural humanitarian settings is an advantage.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; computer literacy.
- Languages: Fluency in English and Amharic (oral and written).
