Job Summary
Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia is seeking to hire a Project Officer for the Core Group Partners Project (CGPP). This position will be based at the South Omo Field Office in Jinka, with regular field visits required. The Project Officer will report directly to the Regional Manager and will oversee project implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CGPP project work plans and ensure timely approval
- Oversee project activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery
- Strengthen partnerships with zonal and woreda health offices
- Monitor project budgets and ensure compliance with donor and Amref guidelines
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and project progress
- Participate in technical working groups and represent the project in relevant platforms
- Coordinate project staff and facilitate monthly/quarterly planning and review meetings
- Ensure proper implementation of logistics, procurement, and administrative processes
- Conduct monitoring visits, review reports, and interview stakeholders and beneficiaries
- Report regularly to the Regional Manager on project updates and challenges
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Public Health or Health Care Management
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in project/program implementation, preferably in NGO settings
- Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Skills in research, case story development, data visualization, and analytics
- Partner management, proposal writing, and report writing skills
- Knowledge management and learning environment facilitation
- Strong written and communication skills in English and Amharic
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in team settings
- Innovative and proactive thinker
