About the Opportunity

The Quality Control Expert will ensure that all materials, electronic assemblies, and finished devices produced at Industry Five meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.  
This role is crucial in maintaining product reliability, process consistency, and customer satisfaction across Industry Five’s electronics manufacturing operations. 
 

Role & Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test PCBs, electronic assemblies, and finished devices according to Industry Five’s in-house and client-specific protocols (including AOI, functional, and burn-in testing). 
  •  Monitor SMT and assembly line processes to ensure compliance with ISO-aligned quality requirements and traceability standards. 
  •  Identify, document, and analyze nonconformities, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). 
  •  Maintain accurate inspection and testing records, calibration logs, and traceability reports for all production batches. 
  • Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures, inspection plans, and process documentation. 
  •  Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. 
  •  Ensure calibration, maintenance, and verification of quality and testing instruments (AOI, functional testers, environmental chambers, etc.). 
  •  Provide training and quality awareness sessions for production operators and technicians. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process capability, yield, and product quality. 
  • Ensure all activities comply with Industry Five’s Quality Management System (QMS) and international standards such as ISO 9001 and IPC guidelines. 

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. 
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in quality control or assurance in an electronics or manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, assembly, soldering, inspection, and testing). 
  •  Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, and root cause analysis. 
  •  Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IPC-A-610 quality standards. 
  •  Proficiency in using measuring instruments and QC/test software. 
  •  Excellent documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  •  Strong attention to detail and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams. 

Preferred

  • Certification in Quality Management or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt). 
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and process optimization. 
  •  Knowledge of automated optical inspection (AOI) systems and functional testing. 
  •  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment.
