About RRS

The Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) is a governmental organization dedicated to providing essential services to refugees and returnees in Ethiopia. The country currently hosts nearly 1 million refugees from over 19 countries, accommodated in 25 camps across six regional states. In partnership with UN agencies, NGOs, and civil society organizations, RRS delivers basic needs and social services to displaced populations.

Job Summary

RRS is seeking qualified and experienced Refugee Registration Officer II candidates to join its operational teams. The role involves data registration, encoding, and management to support refugee identification and record systems across multiple locations in Ethiopia.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Management Information Systems, or Software Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in data encoding, registration, data management, or a related field.
• Priority Given To: Applicants with prior experience at RRS, UNHCR, or IOM in a refugee context.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of network systems, computer applications, and security protocols.
• Familiarity with IT policies, registration procedures, and best practices.

Duty Station

Successful applicants will be assigned to one of RRS’s operational sites, with potential reassignment based on workload. Locations include:
Addis Ababa, Assosa, Gambella, Jigjiga, Melkadida, Semera, or Gondar.
Note: You must indicate your preferred exam location in your application letter.

Salary & Benefits

• Daily rate: 1,746 Birr (paid monthly)
