About the Role
Sandford International School is seeking a qualified ICT & Computer Science Teacher to join its Secondary School team. The role reports to the Head of ICT and involves liaising with the Head of Secondary, Leadership Team, staff, pupils, and parents.
The teacher will deliver a broad and balanced ICT & Computer Science curriculum to secondary students, including Functional, IGCSE, and IBDP levels. The role requires strong classroom management, curriculum development, and a commitment to student progress and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ICT & Computer Science lessons aligned with IGCSE/IBDP standards.
- Monitor and support student progress and development.
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences to maximize student attainment.
- Develop schemes of work, teaching resources, marking policies, and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards in ICT teaching.
- Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
- Maintain accurate records, assessments, and reports.
- Implement school policies, including positive behaviour management.
- Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to track student progress.
- Demonstrate high standards of teaching and classroom practice.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and a teaching certificate (PGCE or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar school setting preferred.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and IB is an advantage.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Proven ability as an excellent classroom teacher.
