About Save the Children
Save the Children International (SCI) is a global humanitarian organization dedicated to protecting children and supporting communities in crisis. In Ethiopia, SCI is implementing a humanitarian cash assistance program in collaboration with WFP and government stakeholders to support internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Oromia and Amhara regions. The program provides Multi‑Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) through digital beneficiary registration, cash disbursement, complaints and feedback mechanisms, and monitoring/reporting.
Available Positions
1. Program Manager – Cash Assistance
- Location: Addis Ababa (with frequent travel to Oromia & Amhara)
- Career Level: Senior (5–8 years)
- Deadline: March 5, 2026
- Responsibilities: Lead program staff (up to 110 personnel), oversee design and implementation of cash assistance, ensure donor compliance, manage reporting, and represent SCI/WFP in coordination forums.
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, or Social Sciences; 10 years’ experience (5 in managerial roles); expertise in cash assistance programming (CVA).
2. MEAL Officer – Cash Assistance
- Location: Addis Ababa (coverage in Oromia & Amhara)
- Career Level: Mid‑Level (3–5 years)
- Deadline: March 5, 2026
- Responsibilities: Implement MEAL systems, ensure data quality, manage accountability mechanisms, compile monitoring reports, and support knowledge management.
- Qualifications: BSc/BA/MSc/MA in Statistics, Economics, or Social Sciences; minimum 3 years in MEAL roles within NGOs; strong analytical and reporting skills.
3. Field Coordinator – Cash Assistance
- Location: Jimma Town & East Wollega Zone, Oromia Region
- Career Level: Senior (5–8 years)
- Deadline: March 6, 2026
- Number of Positions: 2
- Responsibilities: Oversee digital registration and cash assistance activities, supervise enumerators, ensure compliance with WFP standards, manage field budgets, and report progress.
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Development Studies or related fields; 10 years’ experience (5 in managerial roles); strong leadership and project management skills; fluency in Afan Oromo preferred.
4. Cash Assistant
- Location: Various Woredas of West, East Wollega, Buno Bedelle, and Jimma Zones, Oromia Region
- Career Level: Junior (1–3 years)
- Deadline: March 6, 2026
- Number of Positions: 14
- Responsibilities: Support beneficiary registration, verification, cash disbursement, reconciliation, and documentation; ensure compliance with donor regulations and SCI standards.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Social Sciences; 2–4 years’ experience in cash programming or NGO operations; Afan Oromo mandatory.
5. Compliance Feedback Officer (CFRO)
- Location: Various Woredas of West, East Wollega, Buno Bedelle, and Jimma Zones, Oromia Region
- Career Level: Mid‑Level (3–5 years)
- Deadline: March 6, 2026

- Responsibilities: Establish and manage complaints and feedback mechanisms, oversee hotline and help desks, ensure confidentiality, compile accountability reports, and resolve safeguarding concerns.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, Public or Business Administration; 2–4 years in customer service or NGO roles; strong communication skills in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo mandatory.
