About the Role
The Driver will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, transporting guests and goods, and ensuring vehicles are maintained in excellent condition. The role requires strong knowledge of Addis Ababa and surrounding areas, as well as professionalism in guest interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive all classes of commercial vehicles safely and efficiently
- Transport guests and goods to/from assigned destinations
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, tire pressure, and fluid levels
- Refuel vehicles as necessary and report maintenance needs
- Document vehicle incidents (damages, accidents) and submit reports
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to supervisors
- Complete safety training and certifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Completion of Secondary School
- Certificate of Training from Drivers & Mechanics Training School preferred
- Knowledge of auto‑mechanics advantageous
- License: Must hold a valid 4th grade or Public 2 level driving license
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of solid driving experience
- Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to carry out minor vehicle repairs and servicing
- Excellent guest contact and customer service skills
- Good physical fitness, health, and alertness
- Strong knowledge of hotel services and products
