About the Role
Sivatex IT Solutions is seeking a motivated and customer‑centric Junior Systems Engineer (Customer Support) to join its growing team in Addis Ababa. This role bridges IT infrastructure and customer success, providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting system issues, and guiding clients through solutions both remotely and on‑site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 technical support for systems, networks, and software.
- Visit customer offices in Addis Ababa to deliver hands‑on support, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact, explaining complex issues clearly in English.
- Assist in configuring and monitoring servers, networking, and cloud instances.
- Document and escalate complex infrastructure failures to senior engineering teams.
Qualifications & Competencies

Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.

Experience: 0–2 years in IT support, systems administration, or technical customer service.

Languages: Strong command of English (verbal and written).

Technical Skills:
- Troubleshooting Windows Server or Linux environments
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)

Soft Skills: Patience, active listening, ability to handle high‑pressure customer situations.

Mobility: Willingness to travel to client offices within Addis Ababa.
Preferred Skills (Advantageous)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+/Security+, CCNA, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.
