Position: Procurement & Logistic Coordinator

Role Summary

The Procurement & Logistic Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, contract administration, and logistics coordination. The role ensures high‑quality, cost‑efficient procurement aligned with organizational policies, while managing vehicle registration, maintenance, and logistics processes.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Supply Process – Source and order equipment, services, and supplies locally and internationally; maintain vendor database; monitor supplier performance.
  2. Sourcing Strategy – Develop procurement plans; establish long‑term supplier partnerships; evaluate vendors annually; ensure compliance with procurement policies.
  3. Contract Management – Lead supplier negotiations; prepare contracts; oversee transparent tendering; manage customs clearance and documentation.
  4. Logistics – Coordinate vehicle assignments, servicing, and maintenance; support project logistics across Addis Ababa and program locations.
  5. Vendor Performance – Track supplier KPIs; review pricing against budgets; manage claims and disputes with suppliers.
  6. Safeguarding – Ensure vendors align with safeguarding policies; report risks, fraud, or misconduct promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement and logistics.
  • Experience in NGO/INGO environments preferred.
  • Strong vendor management and contract administration skills.
  • ERP systems and procurement tracking tools experience.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local language is an advantage.
  • Valid 3rd‑grade driving license.
