Self-Contained Teacher (Main Teacher)

Location: Birsste Gebriel (Sar Bet), Addis Ababa

Education and Experience

• Minimum of a Diploma in any field of study from a recognized college or university.
• 0+ years of work experience; fresh graduates are eligible to apply.
• Prior knowledge or experience with the Cambridge system is preferred.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Good command of English, both spoken and written, with a minimum B2 level.
• Good knowledge of computers and the use of AI tools.
• Knowledge of Arabic or other foreign languages is an advantage.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with pupils and colleagues.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare Cambridge-system lessons based on the applicable scheme of work.
• Deliver lessons using creative and inspiring approaches.
• Use active-learning methods in the classroom.
• Provide extracurricular activities.
• Monitor pupils’ overall performance and track their progress.
• Identify pupils’ learning needs and address them appropriately.
• Perform other related duties reasonably assigned by the supervisor.
