SRE / Platform Engineer (Remote) – Peec AI

Peec AI, one of Europe’s fastest‑growing Series A startups, is hiring a Site Reliability / Platform Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and performance of its core systems and infrastructure. This is a remote role, open to candidates located within ±3 hours of Berlin (CET).

About the Role

As an SRE / Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain automation, tooling, and monitoring systems that keep Peec AI’s services fast, secure, and highly available. You will partner closely with product and engineering teams to ensure new features are reliable and observable from day one, while driving operational excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Own reliability, scalability, and performance of core systems.
• Design and maintain tooling, automation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on feature reliability.
• Develop and refine incident response practices.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, single points of failure, and inefficiencies.
• Champion operational excellence and best practices across engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles.
• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
• Strong experience with observability platforms (Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, Grafana) and incident response tools (PagerDuty, Incident.io).
• Proficiency with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and distributed systems.
• Programming/scripting skills in TypeScript and Python.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, Kubernetes, containerization, networking, databases, and cloud security.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and commitment to operational excellence.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with AI/ML workloads or data‑intensive systems.
• Prior SRE experience in high‑growth startups or globally distributed infrastructure.
• Familiarity with zero‑downtime migrations, multi‑region architectures, or compliance frameworks.
