U.S. Embassy Ethiopia Vacancy 2026

The U.S. Mission in Ethiopia is inviting applications from eligible and qualified candidates for two positions in Addis Ababa: Maintenance Team Lead (NEC/NCC) and Dispatcher.

1. Maintenance Team Lead (NEC/NCC)

Job Title: Maintenance Team Lead (NEC/NCC)
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Salary: USD 15,808 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time

Education Requirements

Completion of secondary school is required, together with two years of successful completion of a specialized vocational training program from an accredited institute recognized as producing journey-level professionals in one or more of the following areas:

• HVAC
• Plumbing
• Electrical systems
• Maintenance and construction services

Experience Requirements

Applicants must have:

• At least five years of progressive experience in the practical application of advanced, technician-level electrical, mechanical, or plumbing engineering systems.
• Experience ensuring that central systems or equipment function properly.
• Experience performing hands-on repairs on electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems and equipment as required.
• At least one additional year of experience as a technical team leader or supervisor in construction, facility maintenance, or building operations.

Language Requirements

• Good working knowledge of English in speaking, reading, and writing is required.
• Good working knowledge of Amharic in speaking, reading, and writing is required.

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Salary: USD 11,107 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time

Education Requirements

Completion of secondary school is required.

• At least three years of progressively responsible experience in motor pool or transportation fleet management.
• At least one year of supervisory experience.

• Good working knowledge of Amharic in speaking, reading, and writing is required.
