UNOPS Ethiopia Job Vacancy – Finance Officer (March 2026)
The UNOPS Africa Regional Office, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, oversees more than 250 projects across 40 countries, focusing on fragile and conflict-affected settings. With over 1,000 personnel across five multi-country offices, UNOPS supports national priorities in Climate Action, Health, Infrastructure, Peace and Security, Middle-Income Country Support, and Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
Position: Finance Officer
Education Requirements
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields with 2 years of relevant experience OR
- Master’s degree in the same fields with 0 years of relevant experience.
- Desired:
- Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CA, CIMA).
- Knowledge of IPSAS or other international accounting standards.
Experience Requirements
- Required:
- Experience in project financial management, budgeting, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in collaboration tools (MS Office, G-Suite) and web-based management systems.
- Desired:
- Experience working in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in developing countries.
- Experience in development or humanitarian contexts.
Language Requirements
- English – Fluent (Required)
- Amharic – Fluent (Required)
