VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C), established under proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in rural and urban areas of Ethiopia, is announcing new job opportunities for 2026. The organization is seeking qualified candidates for the Training & Development Officer position at its Head Office in Addis Ababa. This full‑time, mid‑level role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and is designed for professionals with expertise in training, human resources, and organizational development. Open Positions

Position 1: Training & Development Officer

  • Employment Type: Full‑time
  • Job Location: Addis Ababa Head Office, Ethiopia
  • Career Level: Mid‑Level (3–5 years)
  • Number of Positions: 1

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct training needs assessments across departments and branches
  • Design and implement annual training plans and calendars
  • Develop and update training content, manuals, and e‑learning modules
  • Organize induction and onboarding programs for new employees
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using recognized frameworks
  • Maintain training records, attendance, and certification tracking
  • Prepare periodic reports on training activities and outcomes
  • Collaborate with operations, credit, risk, and compliance teams to align training with business needs
  • Revise and update training modules based on policy changes and industry best practices
  • Ensure availability of training equipment and venues
  • Provide on‑the‑job coaching for new credit officers and support staff development
  • Coordinate performance evaluations and ensure fair assessments
  • Liaise with HR and management to identify training needs and allocate budgets

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: BA Degree in HR Management, Management, Human Resources & Organizational Development, Public Administration, or related fields
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in training & development, preferably in microfinance, banking, financial services, or NGOs
  • Technical Skills: HR systems knowledge, training design, evaluation methods, and LMS/e‑learning tools
  • Soft Skills: Communication, facilitation, presentation, organizational ability, teamwork, and integrity
  • Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional local languages desirable

Salary & Benefits:
Salary will be provided in accordance with the institution’s pay scale. Benefits include loan access, medical allowance, and transport allowance.
