Education Development Trust Ethiopia 2026 Job Vacancies – Zonal Education Officers:
Etcareers is highlighting Education Development Trust’s 2026 recruitment drive for Zonal Education Officers in Ethiopia. These full‑time roles are part of the Leaders in Teaching Ethiopia (LiTE) project, designed to strengthen secondary education and improve student transitions to higher education and employment. With 12 vacancies across regions including Borena, Guji, Illababor, Jimma, Shoa, Wellega, Hosana, Wolkitie, and West Guji, the positions will focus on teacher professional development, school leadership support, and competency‑based curriculum delivery. Open Positions

Position 1: Zonal Education Officer (12 Vacancies)

  • Employment Type: Full‑time
  • Job Location: Borena, Guji, Illababor, Jimma, Shoa (North, East, West), Wellega East (HG), Wellega West (KW, NT), Hosana, Wolkitie, West Guji – Ethiopia

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor implementation of the LiTE project at cluster and school level
  • Support teacher professional development and competency‑based curriculum delivery
  • Provide school leadership support and inclusion interventions
  • Collaborate with school facilitators, teachers, leaders, and local education offices
  • Ensure programme activities align with national education priorities and technical standards

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, TVET, Competency‑Based Education)
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5 years delivering donor‑funded education programmes, with focus on secondary education
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in teacher professional development, school leadership, or CBC delivery
  • Soft Skills: Strong safeguarding knowledge; commitment to child protection, equity, and inclusion

Salary & Benefits
Salary and benefits will be provided in accordance with the organization’s pay scale and Ethiopian labor standards.
