This position will be based at the FAO Ethiopia Country Office, while supporting the Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI)—a government institute established in 2011 to accelerate Ethiopia’s agricultural growth and transformation. The role focuses on strengthening ATI’s Analytics Unit, which functions as a strategic advisory and consulting arm.
Key Responsibilities
The Analytics Team Coordinator will:

Lead and oversee multiple high-impact analytical cases and studies relevant to ATI’s strategic focus.

Provide strategic and technical guidance to ATI’s Analytics Team, including senior and mid-level consultants.

Advise ATI and the Ministry of Agriculture leadership on agricultural transformation pathways.

Ensure quality, analytical rigor, and stakeholder alignment in all outputs.

Represent ATI in steering committees, workshops, and high-level stakeholder engagements.

Manage team administration, including recruitment, performance management, training, and professional development.

Mentor and coach junior team members for both casework and career growth.

Oversee case prioritization, staffing, and knowledge management within the Analytics Team.

Support strategic initiatives such as agricultural policy reform, commercialization cluster programs, food systems transformation, and digital agriculture.
Minimum Requirements

Education: Advanced university degree (Economics, Finance, MBA, or related field from a recognized international institution).

Experience: At least 10 years in management or executive leadership of highly technical teams, ideally in strategic consulting, policy development, finance, or the agricultural/development sector.

Language: Full proficiency in English.
