Operating across Addis Ababa, Oromia, Amhara, Sidama, Southern Ethiopia, and Afar, BL implements programs in Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR), inclusive education, child protection, and humanitarian response in conflict-affected areas.
Open Positions
1️⃣ Project Coordinator
Reporting to: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of multi-regional projects.
- Ensure disability-inclusive programming across CBR, education, and humanitarian interventions.
- Build strong partnerships with government bureaus, communities, and international partners.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to field staff.
- Oversee budgets and ensure transparent financial management.
- Prepare analytical progress reports highlighting achievements and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- BA with 6+ years or MA with 4+ years in Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, Public Health, or related fields.
- Proven experience in CBR or inclusive education.
- Ability to manage projects in both development and humanitarian contexts.
- Fluency in English and Amharic; regional languages are an advantage.
2️⃣ MERL Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting & Learning)
Reporting to: Managing Director
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust MERL systems tailored for disability-inclusive programming.
- Collect and analyze high-quality qualitative and quantitative data.
- Draft evidence-based reports for donors and regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate learning workshops to translate findings into program improvements.
- Manage beneficiary databases using digital tools (Kobo Toolbox/ODK).
Qualifications
- BA with 5+ years or MA with 3+ years in Statistics, Social Work, Sociology, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Strong technical skills in SPSS, Stata, and digital monitoring tools.
- Experience in disability-inclusive development or CBR is a strong asset.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Amharic, with ability to craft compelling impact stories.
