Job Description
The Junior Customer Service Officer will support customer service, branch operations, transactions, back-office activities, deposit mobilization, and the promotion of banking products and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle account openings, maintain customer registers, and manage document custody.
- Process counter transactions, cheque deposits, and returned cheques.
- Assist Senior Customer Service Officers with back-office operations and daily reconciliations, including ATM, POS, merchant, and branch books.
- Assist with clearing suspense accounts.
- Promote the bank's products, services, and alternative digital channels.
- Support deposit mobilization and the recruitment of new clients.
- Build relationships with merchants and agents.
- Respond to customer inquiries while maintaining service quality and confidentiality.
- Perform duties in accordance with applicable National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) standards.
Qualification and Requirements
Educational Qualification
Applicants should have a First Degree (Bachelor's degree) in one of the following fields:
- Accounting
- Management
- Finance
- Economics
- Banking & Finance
- Related fields
A First Degree in Business Administration and Information System (BAIS) is stated as advantageous.
Applicants with a relevant first degree together with training or certification in MIS, IT, or a related field are also considered under the stated requirements.
Experience
