Bunna Bank S.C., one of Ethiopia’s fast‑growing private banks, is seeking a highly qualified professional to lead its Public Relations & Stakeholder Communication team. This role is critical in managing the Bank’s reputation, media relations, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Position: Team Leader – Public Relations & Stakeholder Communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the Bank’s comprehensive media relations strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers
- Act as the primary contact for media inquiries, interviews, and information dissemination
- Monitor real‑time media coverage, analyze sentiment, and prepare crisis response strategies
- Map key external stakeholders (regulators, government, industry associations, community groups) and design tailored communication strategies
- Lead, mentor, and develop PR Officers and Communication Specialists
Qualifications:
- BA in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in PR, corporate communications, or journalism
- At least 3 years in a team leadership role
- Proven experience in crisis communication management and media relationship building
- Background in financial services, government, or other highly regulated industries
