About the Role

Kifiya Financial Technologies is seeking a Business Unit Support Finance Manager to provide robust financial and accounting support to its business units. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, cost control, fraud prevention, and budget compliance. The position involves close collaboration with unit managers to support both daily operations and strategic financial planning.


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Operations Support

  • Assist business units in recording and reconciling revenue, expenses, and intercompany transactions
  • Review and process purchase requests, supplier invoices, and petty cash reimbursements
  • Ensure proper cost allocation following company policies and chart of accounts

2. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L statements, budget vs. actual, and variance analysis
  • Identify cost overruns, revenue shortfalls, and recommend corrective actions
  • Support revenue protection and fraud prevention initiatives
  • Track KPIs and operational metrics relevant to business unit performance

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist business units in preparing budgets and forecasts in coordination with FP&A team
  • Monitor adherence to budgets and highlight deviations for management review
  • Participate in periodic budget review meetings with unit heads

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain comprehensive financial documentation at the business unit level
  • Assist with audits by providing required documents and explanations

5. Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in unit-level financial processes and propose improvements
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to implement streamlined procedures
  • Contribute to standardization of financial practices across business units

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA preferred)
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably supporting multiple business units or branches
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and internal controls
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Dynamics) and MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
