Position: Driver
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Country Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator, the Driver will:
- Provide safe and reliable transport services for CESVI staff and visitors.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, maintained, and compliant with CESVI policies.
- Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks, maintain logbooks, and report incidents.
- Transport goods securely and responsibly.
- Adhere to traffic regulations and CESVI’s driver conduct rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive CESVI vehicles within program areas and beyond as required.
- Perform security and technical checks (battery, fuel, oil, tires, etc.).
- Maintain accurate journey records and submit weekly vehicle check forms.
- Report accidents or damages immediately following proper procedures.
- Ensure passengers wear seat belts and follow safety protocols.
- Travel to remote field offices when needed.
Requirements

Education: Diploma in Auto Mechanics; knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics.

Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Driver, preferably with INGOs.

License: Valid Grade 3 driving license.

Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Good command of English (Level III) and Amharic; other local languages an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Ethiopian traffic regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure, travel to rural areas, and adapt to basic living conditions.
