Open Positions

1️⃣ Project Coordinator – Biodiversity and Landscape

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Natural Resource Management, or related fields with 5 years of experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields with 7 years of experience.
  • PhD holders will have a distinct advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–7 years in biodiversity and landscape management, with at least 3 years in project coordination.
  • Strong leadership, project planning, and financial management skills.
  • Experience in biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities.
  • Familiarity with M&E tools and donor‑funded project compliance.

Languages: Fluency in English and one national language.


2️⃣ Project Manager – Wildlife Conservation for Development

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Natural Resource Management, Conservation, Wildlife Management, Environmental Science, or related fields with 5 years of experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields with 7 years of experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–7 years in protected areas and wildlife management.
  • At least 5 years managing large‑scale conservation or development projects with international funding (e.g., GEF, UNDP).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in biodiversity conservation strategies and sustainable development principles.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement with government, NGOs, local communities, and international organizations.
  • Proven track record in financial and administrative management of donor‑funded projects.
  • Experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

Languages: Fluency in English required; working knowledge of a local language desirable.


Key Responsibilities (Across Both Roles)

  • Lead project planning, coordination, and implementation in line with UNDP and GEF guidelines.
  • Ensure stakeholder engagement and partnerships with government, NGOs, and communities.
  • Provide technical guidance on biodiversity conservation, wildlife management, and sustainable development.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with UNDP and donor requirements.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices in conservation and sustainable development.
