Open Positions
Position 1: HR & Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and the full employee lifecycle
- Publish job vacancies on Ethiojobs and other platforms
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts, personnel files, and HR records
- Administer performance management, probation, and appraisal processes
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures
- Coordinate staff training, capacity development, and engagement initiatives
- Advise management and employees on HR policies and best practices
- Record and monitor staff leave plans and utilization
- Manage payroll coordination, attendance, and administrative requests
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and internal policies
- Oversee work permit, visa, and residency processes for expatriate staff
- Liaise with government bodies, immigration offices, ACSO, and service providers
- Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments
- Support finance and logistics procedures as required
- Monitor regulatory updates from Ethiopian Revenue Authorities
- Ensure activities align with security procedures and duty of care standards
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, Management, or related fields
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in HR, compliance, or immigration administration within the humanitarian, development, or NGO sector
- Technical Skills: Recruitment, compliance audits, immigration administration, HR policy implementation
- Soft Skills: Integrity, confidentiality, communication, organizational ability, attention to detail, problem‑solving, and professional judgment
- Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Salary & Benefits:
Gross salary starting from €399.19 (Grade 7 – Step 1), negotiable based on previous earning history. Salary includes monthly transport allowance, pension fund as per Ethiopian law, and medical & life insurance as per CIFA policy.
