About the Role

East Steel PLC is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Coffee Cupper / Grader to support its quality control operations. The role involves evaluating coffee quality through standardized sensory analysis, ensuring consistency, and supporting procurement, roasting, and export teams with accurate technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Sensory Evaluation — Conduct standardized cupping sessions following SCA protocols, scoring coffees (typically targeting 80+ Specialty Grade).
• Quality Control — Inspect green and roasted coffee for defects, moisture content, and screen size; approve or reject lots based on cupping outcomes.
• Sample Preparation — Roast, grind, and brew samples using precise profiles for consistent evaluation.
• Documentation & Reporting — Record tasting notes, assign cupping scores, and prepare technical reports for internal teams.
• Lab Maintenance — Maintain hygiene, calibration, and readiness of cupping tools, roasting equipment, and the sensory lab.

Salary & Benefits
