Key Responsibilities
The Mechanical Support Engineer will assist with the maintenance and technical support of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose machinery and equipment problems and assist with repairs.
- Support the optimal operation and performance of machinery.
- Assist in designing and modifying mechanical systems and components.
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and machine-part documentation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical problems.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Assist with routine equipment maintenance and inspections.
- Provide technical support to other team members and departments.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
- Assist in updating technical manuals and operating procedures.
- Participate in cross-functional improvement and engineering projects.
- Collaborate with technical and production teams to support smooth operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.

0–4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of mechanical drawings and industrial components.
- Knowledge of workshop tools and mechanical machine elements.
- Knowledge of MS Office, job-related software, and communication applications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good English-language proficiency.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different hours and respond to emergency calls when required.
- Willingness to live in or relocate to Bishoftu.
Additional Skills
The following are advantageous:
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with welding techniques.
- Experience with lathe machine techniques.
