Position Summary
The Civil / Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for structural modeling, design development, and preparation of construction and detailing drawings for steel and reinforced concrete (RC) structures, particularly for industrial projects.
The position requires practical experience in structural engineering and design, including the ability to work with structural analysis models, design calculations, construction drawings, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review structural analysis and design models for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Prepare structural construction and detailing drawings based on approved design calculations and models.
- Work on industrial structures, including steel frames, reinforced concrete structures, equipment foundations, pipe racks, equipment supports, and industrial buildings.
- Coordinate structural designs and drawings with architectural, piping, and other engineering disciplines.
- Revise structural drawings and models based on project requirements and technical reviews.
- Ensure structural documentation complies with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
- Participate in technical coordination and design review meetings.
- Support structural design development and documentation throughout project activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in structural engineering or structural design.
- Practical experience in both steel and reinforced concrete structural design and modeling.
- Strong experience preparing structural detailing and construction drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant structural design and modeling software.
- Ability to interpret structural calculations and develop accurate construction drawings.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience or exposure to architectural design and drafting is an advantage.
- Experience working on industrial structures and engineering projects is relevant to the position.
