Dashen Bank S.C is seeking a qualified and experienced ESG Specialist to strengthen its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy and drive sustainable transformation across the Bank.
Position: ESG Specialist
Job Summary
The ESG Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability initiatives that address environmental and social risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance the Bank’s ESG performance.
The role involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders — including regulators, investors, NGOs, and customers — to integrate ESG best practices into Dashen Bank’s strategic direction.
Minimum Qualifications
Academic & Professional Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental or Social Studies, Sustainable Development, Development Finance/Economics, Technology, or related fields
- Professional ESG certification is an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience in ESG, sustainability, or related fields
Functional & Technical Competencies
- Strong strategy management skills (planning, evaluation, implementation, M&E)
- Proven knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience leading ESG initiatives and integrating sustainability into business processes
- Strong project management skills (planning, budgeting, scheduling)
- Ability to interpret business reports, financial data, and risk assessments
- Experience coordinating cross‑departmental initiatives
- Budgeting and monitoring skills
- Ability to lead and influence organizational change
