Job Summary

ELiDA is seeking a Humanitarian Program Coordinator to lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of humanitarian programs in Livelihood, Education, GBV Prevention & Response, and Child Protection. This senior role ensures interventions are survivor‑centered, gender‑responsive, and aligned with international humanitarian standards. The coordinator will manage donor‑funded projects, oversee program staff, and strengthen partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and humanitarian clusters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Design
    • Coordinate multisectoral programs funded by UNTF, OCHA/EHF, AFD, Malala Fund, FCDO, and other donors.
    • Develop and implement gender and social inclusion strategies.
    • Conduct gender analyses and integrate findings into program planning and M&E.
    • Lead staff management, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Program Implementation
    • Provide technical support in GBV, Education, and Livelihood programming.
    • Ensure adherence to IASC Guidelines, GBV Minimum Standards, SPHERE, and CHS Commitments.
    • Support donor reporting and ensure timely execution of project activities.
  • Safeguarding & Advocacy
    • Serve as focal point for safeguarding and SEA cases.
    • Coordinate advocacy campaigns to promote gender equality.
  • Partnerships & Coordination
    • Represent ELiDA in Protection, GBV AoR, and CP AoR coordination forums.
    • Strengthen referral systems with government and NGO partners.
  • Capacity Building & Learning
    • Deliver training on gender and social inclusion.
    • Document success stories and lessons learned.
  • Planning & Budget Management
    • Manage project budgets, procurement, and donor compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Sociology, Human Rights, International Development, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in program coordination with gender and social inclusion focus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of GBV, EiE, MPCA, and GiHA.
    • Familiarity with CHS Commitments, SPHERE, and child protection standards.
    • Proven leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and advocacy skills.
  • Preferred: Experience with donor‑funded projects (FCDO, GAC, Malala Fund, UNTF, OCHA, AFD).
