About EthSwitch

EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by all banks in Ethiopia (private and public), the National Bank of Ethiopia, MFIs, PIIs, and PSOs. Its mandate is to:

  • Create interoperability between financial institutions.
  • Implement domestic payment schemes.
  • Provide a national payment gateway.
  • Serve as central interconnectivity for clearing and settlement.
  • Deliver shared platform and infrastructure services.

Available Positions

  1. Digital Payment Officer I
    • Education: BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
    • Experience: Advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Responsibilities: Assist in daily operations of digital payment systems, support onboarding of new institutions, monitor transactions, and participate in application testing.
    • Location: Addis Ababa.
  2. Card Payment Switch Officer I
    • Education: BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
    • Experience: Advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Responsibilities: Support daily operations of the card payment switch, assist onboarding of institutions, provide client support, and participate in application testing.
    • Location: Addis Ababa.
  3. Digital Payment Officer II
    • Education: BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience.
    • Responsibilities: Set up and test digital payment integrations, conduct UAT, assist banks with technical issues, prepare reports, and monitor transactions/interfaces.
    • Location: Addis Ababa.
