EthSwitch is the National Switch owned by private and public banks operating in Ethiopia, the National Bank of Ethiopia, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), Payment Instrument Issuers (PIIs), and Payment System Operators (PSOs).
The organization is mandated to:
- Create interoperability between financial institutions.
- Implement the domestic payment scheme.
- Provide the national payment gateway.
- Serve as the central interconnectivity platform for clearing and settlement.
- Deliver shared payment infrastructure and platform services.

Available Positions
1. Senior Auditor
Required Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience
- 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 3 years with a Master's Degree.
- At least 2 years in an officer position.
- Relevant experience in internal audit, external audit, financial management, procurement, or operational auditing.
- Experience auditing IFRS-based financial statements is an added advantage.

2. Senior Auditor – Digital Payments
Required Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Knowledge of payment systems, digital financial services, or banking operations is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.
Experience
- 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 years with a Master's Degree.
- At least 2 years in professional positions.
- Relevant experience in digital payments, banking operations, or internal auditing.

3. Senior IT Auditor (Cybersecurity & Technology Audit)
Required Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent are an advantage.
Experience
- 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 years with a Master's Degree.
- At least 2 years in professional positions.
- Relevant experience in IT Audit, Cybersecurity, or Information Systems Audit.

4. Manager – Card Payment Switch Division
Required Qualification
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 6 years with a Master's Degree.
- At least 3 years in senior officer positions.
Role Summary
The Manager – Card Payment Switch Division is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective divisional operations. The role includes developing and implementing the division's strategic plan, overseeing the onboarding and integration of new financial institutions, and leading the implementation of new products and services related to card, ATM, and POS payment systems.
