Job Summary
EthSwitch is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with expertise in the payments industry to analyze business needs, identify opportunities for innovation, and develop solutions that support strategic goals in digital financial services. The role requires close collaboration with technical and business stakeholders to ensure successful development and deployment of payment products.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements
- Create detailed process maps and conduct gap analysis
- Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and project proposals
- Analyze data using SQL, Excel, or visualization tools
- Propose and design solutions aligned with organizational goals
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units
- Collaborate with financial institutions and cross-functional teams
- Maintain business process models, user journeys, and documentation
- Identify risks in digital finance product implementation and propose mitigation strategies
- Support project management by tracking deliverables and timelines
- Provide training and support to end-users on new processes
- Stay updated on fintech and digital finance trends in Ethiopia
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years in business analysis roles, specifically in the payments industry
Preferred Certifications:
- CBAP, CCBA, ECBA (advantageous)
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of digital finance ecosystems and regulations
- Proficiency in business analysis tools (UML, BPMN)
- Data analysis skills (SQL, Excel)
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
