Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold an Advanced University Degree (Master's Degree or equivalent) in one of the following fields:
- Economics
- Finance
- Law
- Engineering
- Business Administration
- Development Studies
- International Relations
- Public Policy
- Or a related field
Work Experience
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in investment project financing and structuring.
- Experience in the preparation, structuring, evaluation, and negotiation of investment projects.
- Experience in financial markets, investment, and/or sustainable finance.
- Successful completion of the INTPA Investment Officer Course.
- Experience engaging with private sector actors and developing investment partnerships.
- Experience coordinating with International Financial Institutions (IFIs), development banks, private sector organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to mobilize investments and leverage partnerships for sustainable development.
Required Knowledge
Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of:
- Cooperation instruments, including EFSD+ or comparable blended finance facilities.
- EU financial and non-financial instruments, including guarantees, technical assistance, and policy dialogue.
- International cooperation frameworks such as Global Gateway, Team Europe, and Team National approaches.
- Economic, financial, institutional analysis, and negotiation processes in developing country contexts.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an advantage:
- Climate change and environmental management.
- Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
- Digital and green transition sectors.
- Secure digital connectivity and digital public infrastructure.
- Water, energy, transport and logistics.
- Agri-food value chains.
- Critical raw materials.
- Climate change adaptation and mitigation.
- Carbon credits and nature-based solutions.
- European Digital and Green Deal Agenda.
- Green technologies and digital transition investments.
