Position Overview
The Social Worker is responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating, and implementing child‑focused prevention and development programs within the Area Program Office. The role promotes interventions that address the root causes of children’s vulnerabilities and ensures smooth execution of child protection activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement child prevention and development programs
- Prepare program budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization
- Promote community‑based interventions addressing child protection issues
- Facilitate participatory approaches and sustainable development practices
- Maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries
- Prepare reports and documentation as required
- Ensure adherence to FSCE’s child protection and safeguarding policies
Required Competencies & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to teamwork, gender equality, and child protection principles
- Sensitivity to HIV/AIDS issues
- Understanding of participatory development approaches
- Ability to work effectively with children, youth, and community groups
Minimum Requirements
Education
- MA or BA in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or related fields
Experience

4 years of relevant experience for BA holders

2 years of relevant experience for MA holders
- Experience with child and youth‑focused NGOs is required
