Al-Impex Business Plc is hiring a Group Operations Manager to lead and optimize the company’s day-to-day operations across its business activities in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The role is responsible for operational efficiency, productivity, quality, resource management, performance improvement, and coordination across business units while supporting the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise the company’s daily operational activities.
- Develop and implement operational targets, policies, work plans, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Work with unit managers and senior leadership to develop and execute business strategies.
- Support the CEO in strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and business priorities.
- Monitor operational performance and analyze KPIs covering production, export compliance, sales and distribution, customer satisfaction, and tender activities.
- Identify operational challenges and develop practical corrective and improvement plans.
- Oversee supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution.
- Support financial forecasting, cash-flow management, financial reporting, and cost control.
- Promote accountability, workplace safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain effective relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, business partners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, export requirements, food safety regulations, labour requirements, corporate governance, and internal procedures.
- Review physical, financial, and operational reports and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide regular operational and management reports to the CEO.
- Oversee administrative, financial, and business operations and perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Master’s degree such as MBA, MSc, or MA in a relevant field is preferred.
- 10 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Master’s degree.
- 12 years of relevant experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of senior-level managerial experience in a related position.
- Experience in manufacturing, trading, or export-oriented businesses is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems.
