Position: Logistics Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Capacity Development: Strengthen logistics competencies across programs, coach managers, deliver training, and support recruitment of logistics staff.
  • Strategy & Oversight: Assist Regional/Country Logistics Managers (RLM/CLM) in risk mapping, corrective action planning, and logistics strategy development.
  • Compliance & Control: Monitor procurement, fraud prevention, and donor compliance; conduct audits and supplier screenings; ensure adherence to anti‑fraud and anti‑corruption policies.
  • Standards & Accountability: Deploy logistics frameworks, advise on organizational structures, and ensure compliance with HI’s global standards.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Train teams for humanitarian response and adapt logistics operations during crises.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in logistics coordination/management (NGO or humanitarian sector)
  • Experience in emergency or post‑emergency contexts
  • Strong skills in humanitarian strategy development and compliance monitoring
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and coaching abilities
  • Fluency in French and English (mandatory)
  • Ability to work remotely and support multiple countries
  • Commitment to HI’s values of inclusion, diversity, and integrity
