Education
Applicants must have an internationally recognized university degree in one of the following fields:
- Human Resource Management
- Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)
- Industrial Engineering
- Manufacturing or Production Engineering
- Business Administration
- International Development
- Economics
- Labour Relations
- Law
- Adult Education
- Organizational Development
- Enterprise Development
- Or another related field
Experience
Applicants should have:
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in enterprise development, labour standards compliance, industrial relations, productivity improvement, capacity building, human resource management, occupational safety and health, responsible business conduct, or related fields.
- Experience working with enterprises in the manufacturing sector, particularly in the garment, textile, leather, coffee, or horticulture value chains, is an advantage.
- Experience in enterprise advisory services, workplace cooperation, productivity improvement, or labour standards compliance is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct enterprise assessments using Better Work methodologies.
- Provide enterprise advisory, coaching, and consultancy services.
- Deliver training on labour compliance, workplace cooperation, productivity, and occupational safety.
- Support enterprise improvement planning and implementation.
- Prepare technical reports and enterprise assessments.
- Promote responsible business conduct and sustainable workplace practices.
- Contribute to programme monitoring, documentation, and knowledge management.
- Collaborate with programme teams and stakeholders to improve enterprise performance.
Required Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Ethiopian labour laws and regulations.
- Good facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of enterprise management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of Responsible Business Conduct (RBC), ESG principles, and labour compliance.
- Excellent command of English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
