Position: Supply Chain Officer – Procurement

Role Purpose

Under the supervision of the Senior Supply Chain Officer, the Supply Chain Officer – Procurement is responsible for coordinating and managing procurement and fleet operations for IRC offices in Gambella. The role ensures compliance with IRC policies, donor requirements, and best practices in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement of goods, services, and construction works transparently and cost‑effectively.
  • Prepare tender documents, conduct bid evaluations, and negotiate contracts.
  • Maintain supplier files, conduct due diligence, and track supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with IRC procurement SOPs and donor regulations.
  • Oversee contract execution, renewals, and amendments.
  • Manage fleet allocation, vehicle maintenance, fuel utilization, and driver supervision.
  • Prepare procurement reports and maintain purchase request tracking systems.
  • Support audit processes and implement corrective action plans.

Qualifications & Experience

  • BA in Logistics, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Economics, Business Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience for BA holders; 1 year for MA holders.
  • Experience in NGO/humanitarian settings preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Integra) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage workloads under pressure and work in cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
