💼 Position Summary – Cashier

Islamic Relief Ethiopia is seeking a qualified Cashier to manage day-to-day financial transactions at its Jigjiga office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, integrity, and experience in financial systems within an NGO environment.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting
• 2 years (with degree) or 3 years (with diploma) of relevant experience, preferably in NGO or humanitarian sector
• Proven cash management experience in a development organization is preferred

🛠️ Skills & Competencies

• Familiarity with financial software (experience with AX Dynamics ERP is an advantage)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal and team skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Fluency in English and Somali (both written and spoken) is mandatory
• Strong commitment to the principles and values of humanitarian work
