The Bank is recruiting an experienced Safety & Security Manager to oversee and coordinate security operations across its Addis Ababa city branches and nearby locations.


Job Summary

The Manager, Safety & Security – City is responsible for supervising and coordinating all security operations within Dashen Bank’s physical premises in Addis Ababa. The role ensures the safety of staff, customers, and assets, while managing and directing security personnel and implementing effective safety and risk‑mitigation strategies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate security operations across Addis Ababa city branches.
  • Ensure the safety and protection of the Bank’s physical assets and premises.
  • Assign, direct, and control security personnel in line with Bank policies.
  • Assess safety and security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee crisis management, emergency response, and incident investigations.
  • Integrate and manage security systems including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
  • Utilize video analytics tools for monitoring, threat detection, and forensic analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and support logistics operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen security culture and awareness.

Qualifications

Education

  • BA Degree from a Police or Military College.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent are advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 2 years in a middle‑level or line management position.

Functional & Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to assess risks and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Experience in crisis management and emergency response.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management software.
  • Experience integrating security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, intrusion detection).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in logistics and incident investigation.
