The company is seeking a Senior Manager Account Executive, Merchant Sales & Solutions (MS&A) to drive growth, manage strategic accounts, and deliver market leadership in Ethiopia.


Position: Senior Manager Account Executive – Merchant Sales & Solutions

Responsibilities

Market Growth & Revenue Delivery

  • Drive Visa’s sales strategy and deliver revenue and payment volume targets.
  • Build, manage, and convert a strong commercial pipeline.
  • Lead growth initiatives to expand Visa’s portfolio.

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Serve as trusted advisor to senior executives at banks, fintechs, MNOs, and ecosystem partners.
  • Lead structured business reviews and solution planning.
  • Identify strategic opportunities aligned with client needs.

Contracting & Deal Structuring

  • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, incentives, and partnership agreements.
  • Explain and negotiate critical contract terms.

Ecosystem Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Represent Visa in external forums and regulatory engagements.
  • Provide market insights and competitive intelligence.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product, MS&A, VAS, Marketing, Risk, and Government Engagement teams.
  • Lead initiatives end‑to‑end from idea to post‑launch for MS&A within assigned markets.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in sales, business development, or account management.
  • Preferred Background: Payments, banking, or fintech.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation and executive engagement skills.
    • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
    • Proven track record in delivering revenue growth.
