Position: Planning Specialist
Job Objective
The Planning Specialist coordinates and optimizes materials and production planning activities to ensure uninterrupted finished goods production aligned with market demand. The role focuses on timely procurement, inventory optimization, and minimizing risks related to write‑offs, obsolescence, and shelf‑life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage NTM and Leaf materials to ensure production continuity
- Place timely purchase orders and manage FOREX planning
- Propose optimal order quantities balancing freight cost, inventory holding, and obsolescence risks
- Maintain accurate MRP by following up on BOM changes
- Monitor sales performance and adjust material plans to meet demand
- Prepare daily and monthly finished goods inventory reports
- Manage inventory data and upload planned orders into IBP
- Support production planning and scheduling by converting supply plans into executable production plans
- Coordinate additional planning tasks as assigned by the Planning Manager
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in foreign purchasing, materials planning, or supply chain roles
- Strong analytical, planning, and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, ERP tools (SAP), and digital production platforms
