Available Positions

1. Logistics Assistant – Addis Ababa

  • Career Level: Junior (1–3 years)
  • Duty Station: Addis Ababa
  • Employment Duration: Until December 31, 2026 (possible extension based on budget)
  • Salary: Based on organizational scale

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage receipt and dispatch of medical and non‑medical supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received, issued, and returned.
  • Ensure warehouse security, cleanliness, and stock protection.
  • Prepare monthly stock reports and maintain inventory control systems.
  • Support annual physical inventory and fixed asset counts.
  • Implement cost‑effective material handling systems.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Logistics Assistant/Storekeeper.
  • Experience handling pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Strong data management skills (Microsoft tools).
  • Commitment to equity, gender, and safeguarding.

2. Field Coordinator – Arba Minch

  • Career Level: Senior (5–8 years)
  • Duty Station: Arba Minch (with frequent travel to project zones)
  • Employment Duration: Until September 30, 2030 (possible extension based on budget)
  • Salary: Based on organizational scale

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate implementation of eye health services including trachoma elimination, cataract, and refractive error interventions.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Eye Care Workers, health institutions, and education offices.
  • Lead school and community eye screening programs.
  • Supervise primary eye care and refraction services.
  • Prepare procurement plans for eyeglasses and oversee distribution.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and support evaluations.
  • Coordinate Zithromax campaigns and ensure compliance with WHO thresholds.

Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Optometry (preferred) or Ophthalmic Officer/Public Health.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in blindness prevention, trachoma, and preventive ophthalmology.
  • Strong project management and monitoring skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
