OSS Management Engineer Vacancy at Nokia Global
The OSS Managed Service Engineer at Nokia is responsible for maintaining and upgrading OSS & SON software and hardware to ensure optimal network performance within agreed service levels. This role involves error collection, preventive maintenance, and data administration tasks. The Specialist collaborates with various teams, develops operational procedures for high-risk activities, and leads complex problem resolutions. With a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and service delivery, the Specialist leverages their technical expertise and analytical skills to implement improvements and manage critical incidents effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and upgrade OSS & SON software and hardware within agreed SLAs.
- Collect errors and perform preventive maintenance to ensure system stability.
- Administer data within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and manage identification functions.
- Plan and execute complex problem resolutions and configuration changes.
- Develop Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for medium- to high-risk operations activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners for effective network management and incident resolution.
- Monitor OSS Management team ticket workload and ensure adherence to service levels.
- May provide mentorship and training to team members as a potential team leader.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 1-3 years of experience in OSS & SON maintenance and upgrades, and proven ability to analyze and solve complex operational problems
- Experience in developing Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for high-risk operations and strong knowledge of service level agreements (SLAs) and ticket management
- Excellent communication skills with experience in cross-functional collaboration
Nice-To-Have:
- Experience in leading technical teams or projects and familiarity with data administration and CMDB management
- Knowledge of telecommunications service delivery models
