Position: Deputy Country Director – Ethiopia
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Provide direction for PIN’s programming in Ethiopia, ensuring quality, relevance, and compliance with donor and organizational standards.

Programme Oversight: Supervise programme design, implementation, and monitoring; ensure safeguarding, MEAL systems, and CFRM mechanisms are functional.

Representation: Actively engage with donors, authorities, partners, and networks; represent PIN alongside the Country Director in national and international forums.

Resource Mobilization: Lead proposal development, diversify funding sources, and identify new opportunities aligned with country strategy.

Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, staff development, and performance management within the programme unit; promote team spirit and compliance with PIN policies.

Risk & Quality Management: Ensure alignment with national policies, donor compliance, and international standards; manage programme risks and reporting.

Safety & Security: Support staff safety and security, balancing programme urgency with risk management policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in humanitarian or development programming, including leadership roles
- Proven expertise in programme management, donor liaison, fundraising, and team leadership
- Experience in Ethiopia or the region preferred
- Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills
- University degree in a relevant field
- Excellent spoken and written English (French is an asset)

- Salary: USD 2,559 – 3,114 (depending on experience)
