The organization is recruiting for a Project Coordinator position under the Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project, based in Bahir Dar, Amhara Region. Open Position

Position 1: Project Coordinator – Countering Harmful Practices, F4B Project

  • Employment Type: Full‑time
  • Job Location: Bahir Dar, Amhara Region, Ethiopia
  • Contract Duration: 2026–2030
  • Reports to: Project Manager
  • Grade: D1

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate regional implementation of the Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project
  • Ensure timely delivery of project activities and efficient use of resources
  • Monitor and report on project progress in line with donor requirements and organizational policies
  • Facilitate collaboration with regional government bureaus, Amref Health Africa, and local partners
  • Support survivor‑centered interventions, community engagement, peer education, and training activities
  • Promote gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate‑sensitive approaches in project implementation
  • Address implementation challenges and provide field‑level problem solving

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Science, Project Management, Reproductive Health, Sociology, Development Studies, or related fields
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in regional project management with international NGOs in Ethiopia
    • Strong expertise in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Child Protection (CP), and GBV sectors
    • Experience working with diversified local implementing partners
    • Knowledge of SRH and GBV strategies, child marriage, FGM, and teenage pregnancy frameworks
  • Technical Skills: Planning, budget management, training delivery
  • Soft Skills: Teamwork, agility, problem‑solving, communication, facilitation, ability to work independently
