About Verdens Skove

Verdens Skove (Forests of the World) is a Danish environmental NGO with over 40 years of experience in forest protection and community‑led development. As a strategic partner of Danida, we work across East Africa, Central America, and South America to link forest conservation with sustainable livelihoods through agroforestry, certification, and inclusive market systems.

Our East Africa Hub, based in Addis Ababa, leads transformative programs in Ethiopia, Uganda, and the DRC, in partnership with national and community‑based organizations. Together, we restore ecosystems, strengthen climate resilience, and build sustainable value chains that benefit both people and nature.
