Job Summary

The Senior Education Expert provides technical leadership, oversight, and coordination for education initiatives, with a focus on Education in Emergencies (EiE). The role involves advocacy, supervision of technical education components, and ensuring integrated service delivery for conflict-affected communities.


Key Responsibilities

1. Project Implementation & Technical Leadership

  • Lead design and development of education policies, guidelines, and proposals.
  • Serve as Sector Lead for Education and EiE, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Organize trainings, workshops, and community dialogues.
  • Ensure integration of gender, disability, protection, and “Do No Harm” principles.

2. Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting & Learning (MERL)

  • Conduct field visits to monitor implementation and service quality.
  • Prepare timely daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Document case studies, success stories, and lessons learned.
  • Maintain organized project documentation.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy

  • Lead advocacy with government authorities, donors, and education clusters.
  • Represent PAD in coordination forums and promote collaboration.
  • Build strong relationships with grassroots government and community representatives.

4. Team Supervision & Capacity Building

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to staff.
  • Conduct team meetings and technical reviews.
  • Use ToT certification to build local capacity.

5. Compliance & Accountability

  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, policies, and ethical guidelines.
  • Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s Degree in Education or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in NGO project coordination, with focus on Education and EiE.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
