About Solidarités International

Solidarités International (SI) is a humanitarian aid association with over 40 years of experience providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters. SI focuses on access to safe water, sanitation, hygiene promotion, food security, and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, SI employs more than 3,200 staff worldwide.

In Ethiopia, SI has been operational since 2022, implementing emergency multisectoral humanitarian programs in Tigray and Amhara regions, focusing on water, health, nutrition, gender‑based violence, and mental health support.

Job Summary

The Logistics & Administration Manager will oversee logistics, procurement, fleet, assets, facilities, administration, finance, and HR functions at the Adwa base. The role ensures compliance with SI procedures and donor requirements while supporting program implementation in a complex operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage logistics and administrative operations, including procurement, fleet, stock, and facility management.
  2. Ensure compliance with SI procedures and donor requirements.
  3. Support HR administration, recruitment, payroll, and staff management.
  4. Strengthen monitoring and mitigation measures related to fuel shortages, cash availability, and supply chain constraints.
  5. Supervise and build the capacity of support staff.
  6. Contribute to budget follow‑up, forecast monitoring, and cost‑control measures.
  7. Support security preparedness, communication systems, and contingency planning.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent field experience) in Humanitarian Action, International Development, Social Sciences, Project Management, or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics, procurement, fleet, facilities, and administrative management in humanitarian contexts.
  • Ability to work under pressure in challenging environments.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Amharic or Tigrigna is an asset.

Benefits

  • Salary: Starting from EUR 2,310 gross/month (including base salary + annual leave allowance).
  • Monthly per diem: USD 400.
  • Accommodation and travel expenses covered.
  • Break allowance: USD 850 every three months, plus one rest day per month.

  • Shared guesthouse accommodation in Adwa and Addis Ababa.
  • Internet and telephone available.
  • Limited social life in Adwa; basic food items available but imports restricted.
