1. Production Assistant

Number Required: 1

The Production Assistant will support the Production Manager in monitoring daily manufacturing activities, interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with local workers, and tracking production progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, print, measure, and make minor modifications to furniture drawings using AutoCAD.
• Help translate technical drawings into clear production instructions for workshop workers.
• Monitor daily production progress across cutting, edge banding, drilling, assembly, and packing.
• Communicate production tasks and technical requirements to local workers and help resolve operational issues.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to verify raw material requirements and prevent shortages.
• Record production output, defect rates, and working hours, and prepare basic reports using Excel.
• Support workshop safety compliance and implementation of workplace procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design and Manufacturing, Wood Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• AutoCAD proficiency is required, including reading drawings, measuring dimensions, and printing drawings.
• Good English proficiency for written and oral communication with Chinese management.
• Fluency in Amharic and proficiency in Afaan Oromoo.
• No prior work experience is required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Internship experience in a furniture factory, manufacturing workshop, or construction site is an advantage.

• Assist with petty cash management, bank deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.

• Communicate with local suppliers, clients, and factory workers regarding invoices, account balances, and payroll-related matters.
• Help verify purchase documents and inventory records for raw materials and support basic cost calculations.
• Organize and archive financial vouchers, contracts, and tax documents.
• Assist Chinese finance staff and management with coordination involving local tax authorities, including the Ministry of Revenues.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Good English proficiency for written communication and oral reporting to Chinese management.
• Fluency in Amharic and proficiency in Afaan Oromoo.
• No prior work experience is required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
