Key Responsibilities

After-Sales Service Management

Manage customer complaints, warranty claims, and service requests.
Monitor service turnaround times and improve service delivery.
Coordinate repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and product replacements.
Work with technical teams, service partners, and third-party providers to maintain service quality.

Team Management & Development

Manage, coach, and mentor After-Sales Executives, technicians, and service staff.
Organize training on customer service, technical troubleshooting, and service delivery.
Promote continuous learning and professional development.

Warranty & Spare Parts

Oversee warranty administration, including approvals, rejections, and documentation.
Manage spare-parts inventory, availability, and costs.
Coordinate the procurement and distribution of spare parts.

Customer Relationship Management

Build relationships with key customers and resolve escalated issues.
Conduct customer feedback surveys and implement service improvements.
Monitor service-level standards and customer satisfaction.

Systems & Process Improvement

Work with technology teams to ensure systems and applications meet customer service and operational requirements.
Review workflows and develop improved processes to increase efficiency and service quality.
Translate global After-Sales strategy into long-term operational plans for Ethiopia.

Operational Planning & Reporting

Monitor KPIs, including service turnaround times and Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
Identify opportunities to improve resource utilization and operational performance.
Prepare periodic reports on after-sales performance, service quality, and efficiency.
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, service standards, and applicable industry regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Engineering or another relevant discipline from a recognized regional or international university.
Advanced degree is an advantage.
8+ years of experience in after-sales service or service operations within the consumer electronics, renewable energy, or mobile industry.
Experience managing an after-sales service department with responsibility for service delivery, operational targets, and customer satisfaction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer-service, critical-thinking, and structured problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to manage changing priorities and demanding situations.
Initiative, adaptability, and resourcefulness in improving processes and implementing new ideas.
Fluency in English and Amharic.
